Every wild, passionate summer storm is followed by a hot, sultry summer day. There is just something so liberating about the summer months. We are able to break free of the confines of winter and bare our skin to the warm touch of the sun.

When you fling open your doors and welcome in the sizzling heat of midsummer you shed more than fuzzy socks and soft scarves. You shed your inhibitions; you pull open your closet and find short flirty dresses and open toed sandals. You pull out your bathing suit. You make an appointment with a pedicurist to make sure your small delicate feet are fit for cute open toed sandals and those blingy little flip flops you just had to buy at the end of last summer. You make sure your body is smooth, ready to glisten under the loving embrace of the hot sun as you flaunt your body beside a beautiful blue ocean that is calling for you to take a dip.

You pack your beach bag, making sure to take all the essentials. Your sunglasses with the cute little cat eye frames go in first. Followed quickly by your hot little romance novel that you plan on reading while gazing intently at the bare chested men as they parade up and down the surf for your viewing pleasure. You fold a soft, comfortable beach towel and a cute wide brimmed hat. And lastly your suntan lotion, you know...the kind with the sparkles in it. As you leave your house, you run your fingers through your hair, anticipation building, oh how you want to feel that warm, white sand between your toes. You know it will ruin your new manicure but at least they will be cute for a day. You finally arrive, parking your car, you hop out, grab your bag and race towards the Utopia that is beautiful blue coastline in front of you. You settle your things, making sure your towel is spread and your bag is right where you will need it to be. Your book is settled on top, just waiting to be picked up.
Ms. Marilyn Monroe ~
“To all the girls that think you’re fat because
you’re not a size zero,
you’re the beautiful one, its society who’s ugly.”

With the watchful eyes of all those around you, knowing full well your swimsuit, as skimpy as it is, is going to be even skimpier once you douse yourself in the salty sea. The water is at first cold. You shiver, your body tightens, but you brave the coldness for just a few moments, walking deeper into the water. You feel the water touch your thighs, slid up above your hips and then encase your breasts. How sensual a lover the ocean water can be. Your body gets used to the coolness, you revel in the feeling and tilt your head back dipping your hair down into the water and slicking it back from your face.

You feel the tide pulling at your body, pulling you deeper, but instinctively you know you can't go any further or else that hot little life guard may not reach you if need be. So, woefully you start to make your way back to shore. With every step you take your body is exposed once more to the hot gazes of the people lounging in the sun. Your breasts, your stomach, your butt that you worked so hard on all winter. Knowing that you aren't perfect in form, but you are perfect for you, your beauty radiates no matter your imperfections. You are perfectly you.  Next your thighs and calves emerge. As you step fully onto the shore, water sluicing down your body, you look up towards the sun and smile. Femininity has it's power...and summer is definitely the time to let it shine.
